The Madison Heights / Hazel Park Chamber of Commerce serves as an influential professional resource and advocate for businesses large and small in the Madison Heights and Hazel Park communities.  Since the Hazel Park and Madison Heights Chambers merged in 1994, membership in the Chamber has risen to more than 300 members, and our member businesses benefit from the diverse number of services and programs which we offer.  Networking events such as “Coffee & Chat,” “Lunch Time,” “Cocktails & Chat” and our Business After 5 (BA5) program, a collaborative event between multiple chambers, provide forums for professional networking to build mutually beneficial relationships, as well as encouraging the sharing of ideas, promoting products and services, and the opportunity for some fun.

Our Ambassador Program extends the manpower of the Chamber, as our “Ambassadors,” a select group of professionals drawn from our general membership, act as our “welcoming hand,” greeting new members, promoting Chamber events, programs and projects and acting as liaisons between the general membership and the MHHP Chamber Board of Directors.

The Chamber offers numerous educational seminars and workshops throughout the year as well as FREE member access to export certificates.  Our partnership with the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce affords us the opportunity to offer our members special incentives and/or rates from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Office Depot, further increasing the value of a Chamber membership.

All of our members are eligible to participate in our “Member to Member” discount program, which allows all of our members to enjoy discounts and savings on a broad spectrum of products and services offered by other, fellow members of the MH/HP Chamber.

The MH/HP Chamber’s role also includes organization and operation of various events for our members to head out and enjoy themselves.  Our “Opening Night at Hazel Park Raceway,” annual golf outing and annual themed Fall auction and dinner are not only fun, but they help support our goals for assisting community programs such as “Teacher Mini-Grant Program,” and other programs in need of support.

The MH/HP Chamber works closely with the cities of Madison Heights and Hazel Park, their respective school districts, their Downtown Development Authorities (DDAs), various civic and private group and a variety of faith-based organizations to continue its mission of encouraging and sustaining a vibrant marketplace, fostering business growth and strengthening community well-being in the short and long term for all in our area.
